Writer/director Jesse Eisenberg explores layers of grief, history, and family in a cathartic and heartfelt dramedy. A Real Pain follows two odd-couple cousins (Eisenberg and Kieran Culkin - in his Golden Globe winning role) as they reunite on a tour through Poland in honour of their beloved grandmother. As the weight of both their recent loss and the country’s painful history strains their bond, the previously inseparable pair rediscover a connection they’ve long neglected.
