About the film
Director: Rob RyanCheated by her stealing, polygamist husband of 17 years, once high-flying corporate executive Christine Meeusen fled penniless with her 3 young children as her American dream began to unravel.
Disillusioned with life, Christine became a “self-declared self-empowered anarchist activist nun”. It didn’t take long before other like-minded women quickly joined her and together, they set up Sisters of the Valley in Kate’s native Merced County, California.
To be clear, these women aren't affiliated with the Catholic church, but they do live that nun lifestyle with the exception that they grow weed.
Other churches offer healing and redemption through prayer, but these very unorthodox nuns offer healing through medicinal marijuana; whose properties have been associated with mitigating pain, anxiety, cognition problems and even cancer.
"Legalize it, don't Criticize it" Peter Tosh. Where do you stand? It’s a pretty interesting story either way.
