"He's waited for this night. He's waited for me. I've waited for him."
Four decades ago, Laurie Strode barely escaped the horrifying killing spree of masked murderer Michael Myers. Now, after years of incarceration, Michael has returned to Haddonfield, Illinois. But Laurie has been preparing for this rematch her entire adult life, and she won't let Michael kill again without a fight. Go Grandma.

From director David Gordon Green and the producers of THE PURGE and INSIDIOUS, this new vision of HALLOWEEN is focused, first and foremost, on generating dread and terror. Halloween pays its dues, but it has also moved on from the original. The body count has vastly increased as have the levels of gore. Indeed, Halloween is a very carefully crafted love letter to the original which works just as well for the uninitiated, with crafty nods to sheets, washing lines and closets for old school fans and enough jumps and shocks for newbies. No need to study up on the Myers/Strode mythology before heading to the theater.

The iconic leads of the original, Jamie Lee Curtis and Nick Castle, are back as Laurie Strode and Michael Myers. They're joined by Judy Greer as Laurie’s daughter Karen, Will Patton as the Sheriff Hawkins, and Andi Matichak as Laurie's granddaughter Allyson. And even John Carpenter returns, providing the musical score for this long-awaited sequel.

Beware when trick or treating, for this year could well bring the scariest HALLOWEEN of them all. In the words of Laurie Strode: "You don't believe in the boogeyman? Well, you should."
