Once Upon A Time In Hollywood
Once Upon A Time In Hollywood
After a career of celebrating, dismantling, and reviving every corner of cinema history he can find, master filmmaker and provocateur Quentin Tarantino finally turns his attention to the movie business itself.
It’s 1969, and TV Western star Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio) wants to make the jump to the silver screen. Together with his stunt double, the “deadliest man alive” Clint Booth (Brad Pitt), they try and make it big in Hollywood. But the industry is changing, and as Rick and Cliff try to change with the times, Charles Manson makes plans to leave his own mark on Hollywood, starting with Rick’s next-door neighbor, Sharon Tate.
With a characteristically incredible cast, including Al Pacino, Dakota Fanning, Luke Perry (in his final role), Lena Dunham, Michael Madsen, Tim Roth, and Margot Robbie as Sharon Tate, ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD promises to be everything we’ve come to expect from Tarantino: dynamic, unforgettable, indescribable.
“Wistful, funny and complicated in interesting ways, Quentin Tarantino’s new movie, Once Upon a Time… In Hollywood, may be his warmest film since Jackie Brown - which may not be what you expected to hear about a movie set against the background of the 1969 Manson murders” – Original Cin
“It sits at the mature end of Tarantino’s work, bringing his tongue-in-cheek storytelling together with exquisite craft and killer lead performances from Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio. And yet, it’s still very much a Tarantino film, trading in genuine emotion one minute, unapolegetically silly the next.” – Time Out
“As one might expect from Mr. Tarantino’s previous films, his new one is violent — extravagant violence is visited on men and women alike at several points — as well as tender, plus terrifically funny. Yet this virtuoso piece of storytelling also offers intricate instruction on the pervasiveness of violence in popular culture.” – The Wall Street Journal
