About the film

Release Date: Jul 5, 2018
Director: Raja Gosnell
Actors: Will Arnett, Alan Cumming, Natasha Lyonne
Director Raja Gosnell is no stranger when it comes to the canine genre, having helmed the live action remake of Scooby Doo and Beverly Hills Chihuahua and his new film Show Dogs carries on the trend of combining live-action actors with real and CGI talking creatures.

NYPD Rottweiler Max (Chris “Ludacris” Bridges) reluctantly agrees to team up with FBI agent Frank Mosley (Will Arnett) in order to track down an exotic animal smuggling ring who they believe will strike at the upcoming Canini Invitational, a prestigious dog show based in Las Vegas.
It’s a kind of “Miss Congeniality” for dogs.

The dabbing dogs are a little embarrassing – the kids haven’t done that since 2015. But if you like to see little pugs drinking out of mini-lavatories or dogs farting or little poodles with cucumbers on their eyes, this could be the film for you – but mostly for the kids.
